Last week we participated in some of the great events that the 4th Annual Latino Fashion Week brought to Chicago.
This year’s theme for Latino Fashion Week was “IMPACTO” which represents or stands for the impact Latinos have made in fashion and will continue to make in the generations to come!
A handful of Latino designers from around the globe showcased their creations during November 8-15. We attended three of the events for the week line-up.
On Monday the 8th, we attended /Moda in the City /which was dedicated to emphasizing the impact Latinos have made in fashion by showcasing Chicago’s top Latino designers’ most outstanding creations at a media red carpet reception and after party at the Crimson Lounge in Hotel Sax. The models did a wonderful job showing a sneak peak for what was to come for the week!
On Friday the 12th, /we attended STRUCTURE,/ promoting spring fashions for men and women at Circuit Night Club. We were so grateful that our dear friend Carlos Anaya, Award-winning Journalistand Multimedia Producer was able to attend at our request to participate in the show. He ended up emceeing the event and did an amazing job!! He “made” the show!! From there we took the guest celebrities actors and models; Patricia de Leon, Paulo Quevedo, Carlos Anaya and Jaslene Gonzales to Mercadito where Chef Patrizio greeted us warmly for dinner and then we headed to Proof Lounge for drinks. They were so much fun and we had a great time!
On Saturday the 13th, we attended the Fashion Ball which was a glamorous runway event that was held at the Mercedes-Benz dealership. Some of the featured runway designers included; Jaer Caban, Carlos Campos, James De Colon, John Dunn, Julius LaCour Jr., Hector Javier MonArrez, and Lazaro Perez! We wore amazing gowns by Horacio Nieto for the ball, they were the perfect touch for the red carpet!
A special thank you to Carlos Anaya for flying in to help make Latino Fashion Week a success. To view the rest of the photos from Latino Fashion Week check out our facebook page at: http://www.facebook.com/Ceceandmelinda
